Preparing For Ramadan:
Assalamu Alaikum Warrahmatullahi Wabarkatuh.
All praises are due to Allah our creator, sustainer,
provider, the only one who is worth of worship, and the one
who has the best names, and the highest attributes. Peace of
Allah and his blessings be upon his beloved prophet Mohamed
Ibn Abdillahi.
Dear brothers and sisters,
As we know we are at the gates of the blessed month of
Ramadan. May be tomorrow Friday or day after Saturday is the
beginning of Ramadan.
Allah says “O believers, Fasting is an obligation upon you
as it was obligated upon the [Muslims] before you so it
would help you to reach piety”.
Prophet
Mohamed peace of Allah be upon him said “Whoever
fasts Ramadan because of faith and expectance of reward
his/her prior sins will be forgiven”.
We ask Allah to give us the opportunity to reach Ramadan in
good health and sprit and to achieve his forgiveness and
freedom from the torment of the last day.
To get the most of this month we need to focus on the
following points.
1.
To repent and return to Allah with sincerity and truth. Sins
and bad deeds are causes of all evil, and difficulties that
happens to us. And piety, good deeds, seeking forgiveness,
and prayers are the causes of the mercy of Allah. So it is
very important to start the month with repentance and seek
the forgiveness of Allah.
2.
To askAllah to give us the opportunity to reach the month of
Ramadan with faith and good health. The early Muslims used
to hope for Ramadan six months prior of its time. It is
natural that we cannot wait things, and times that we value
the most.
3.
To put in mind that Ramadan is few counted days and goes by
very fast. Today we are preparing to welcome and in thirty
days or less we will farewell it. So, what matters is what
we do in those few counted days. Are we going to regret at
the end of it? Or are we going to get the most out of it.
4.
To know about rules of Fasting: It is very important to know
about the rules of fasting and what can make or break ones
fasting. Fasting in the month of Ramadan is one of the five
pillars of faith, and an obligation on Muslims. So, if an
act of worship is an obligation then to know how to do that
act becomes also an obligation. Here are the most important
rules of Fasting.
What is Fasting?
It is to stay away from everything that breaks the fast from
dawn to sunset with the intention of worshipping Allah.
What is the right way to know about the beginning of
Ramadan?
It is sighting by naked eye or by telescopes or any other
device that helps to see the moon. It is not permissible to
base beginning of the lunar months by astronomical
calculations and that is the consensus of the Muslim
scholars.
Who is obliged to fast during Ramadan?
Every Muslim who is sane, healthy, mature, and free from
legal excuses.
What are the pillars of fasting?
a)
To make the intention to fast for the sake of Allah
b)
To fast during the during the day from dawn to sunset
c)
To stay away from all things which break the fasting.
What are things that break the fast?
a)
Eating and/or drinking intentionally during day of fasting.
Also anything that can be in the place of food or drinks
through IV or any other means.
b)
Sexual Intercourse intentionally and willingly during the
day of Ramadan. Such act will result in Kafara or penalty
which is to free slave, if there is no slave to free, then
fast two consecutive months, if unable to do that, then feed
sixty poor persons.
c)
To vomit intentionally and willingly during the day of
fasting: however, if you are overwhelmed and cannot control
the vomiting then your fast is intact and valid.
d)
The beginning of menstruation or post-childbirth bleeding
even in the last moment before sunset
Who is allowed not to fast during Ramadan?
a)
The ill person and has to make up the fast day for a day
when he/she recovers
b)
Women in their menstruation period or post-child bleeding.
They will have to make up day for a day.
c)
The traveler and also must make up for the days missed while
traveling.
d)
People with chronic illness such blood sugar, blood
pressure, and cancer if recovery is not expected. Such
people will have to feed one poor person for each of the
missed days.
e)
Pregnant and breastfeeding women: these women will have to
pay Fidya which is to feed one poor person for each missed
day.
f)
The elderly who are unable to fast: This group is allowed
not to fast but pay fidya for each day missed.
Finnaly,I urge myself and my all brothers and sisters to do
our best to take the advantage of time and to get the
benefits of this month by
Fasting
the days of Ramadan and by standing its nights. The prophet
said “Whoever
stands (the nights) of Ramadan because of faith and
expectance of reward his/her prior sins will be forgiven”.
To recite the Quran and live with it during this blessed
month. Angel Jibril used to come to the Prophet and revise
the Quran with him each night of Ramadan and he revised the
Quran with him twice the last Ramadan of the prophet’s life.
Sahaba and early Muslims used to live with Quran and to read
nothing else but Quran. Some of them used to complete the
Quran in seven days, some of them in three days.
To remember the poor and those who are in need and our
relatives. The Rasul was the most generous person and he was
more generous during Ramadan when Jibril is revising the
Quran with him.
May Allah accept our deeds and make easy for us to worship
him. Aamin Aamin.

Assalaamu Calaykum Warrxmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
Walaayaal sida aad la socotaan waxaa kaabiga noo saaran
bishii barakaysnayd ee Ramadan.
Waxaan Allah ka baryaynaa inuu nabad, caafimaad, iyo iimaan
nugu gaarsiiyo bishan barakaysan. Sidoo kale waxaan Allah ka
baryaynaa inuu nugu daro addoomihiisa naarta laga xoreeyo
bishan kheryka badan dhexdeeda.
Walaalayaal, sida aad la wada socotaan waxaan loo dadaalin
si sahlan luguma helo. Waxaa ugu qaalisan oo la raadshana
waa jannada Allah. Hadaba si naloogu danbi dhaafo bishaan,
oo soonkeenna iyo salaadeenna loo aqbalo waxaan u
baahannahay inaan u diyaar garawno.
Waxyaabaha ugu horreeyo oo bishan loogu diyaar garoobo waa
1. Tawbad keen iyo Allah u noqosho dhab ah. Danbiyadu waa
cuquubo, dacada iyo cibaadadana way hor istaagaan. Tawbadda
iyo Allah u noqoshadana waa cibaadooyinka kuwa ugu wanaagsan,
waxayna keenaan nimcada oo noo siyaadda iyo cibaadada oo noo
furanta. Allah wuxuu leeyahay " Haddaad shukridaan waan
idiin siyaadin, Haddaad gaalowdaanna cadaabkaygu waa
daranyahay".
2. In loo hanqal taago bishan barakaysan oo Allah la baryo
inuu noo sahlo cibaadada dhexdeeda ah. Salafka Allah haka
raalli noqdee lix bilood ayay usii hanqal taagi jireen
Ramadaanka oo xiisso aad u badan u qabeen. Waa marti qiimo
badan oo khayr badanna wadata marka waa in lugu fakaraa
sidii loo soo dhawayn lahaa khayrkana loogala hari lahaa.
3. In lugu xisaabtamo inuu Ramadan yahay maalmo tirsan,
lana xusuusnaadaa inuu si dhaqso leh ku dhammaan doono
haddii Allah nafta nugusii hayyo intaas. Hadaba yaanan
noqonin kuwa shallaaya bisha aakhirkeeda oo yiraahda "Alla
maxaan u cibaadaysan waayay!".
4. Axkaamta Soonka oo la barto waa qaybaha ugu muhiimsan u
diyaar garowga bisha Ramadan. Cibaado kasta oo waajib ah
samaynteeda waxaa sidoo kale waajib ah barashada waxay ay ku
ansaxdo iyo waxa aysan ku ansixin. Halkan waxaan kusoo
gudbinayaa qodobbo kooban oo axkaamta soonka ku saabsan
insha Allah.
Waa maxay soon?
Soon waa "In laga joogsado wax kasta oo buriya soonka sida
cunnada, cabbidda, galmada, iwm laga billaabo fajarka labaad
ilaa ay qorraxdu ka dhacdo ayadoo niyyad cibaado ah lugu
salaynayo".
Dhalashada Bisha maxaa lugu saleeyaa?
Bisha dhalashadeeda waxaa lugu saleeyaa aragtida isha ama
telescope iwm. Mana bannaana in xisaab ama cilmi falak lugu
saleeyo aragtida bisha waayoo Rasuulku (sallallaahu calayhi
wasallama) wuxuu yiri “Aragti ku sooma aragtina ku afura,
haddii la idinka qariyo aragtidana dhamaystira tirada
Shacban soddon maalmood”
Yuu ku waajibaa Soonku?
Wuxuu ku waajibaa qofka kasta oo ah Muslim, Qaangaar, Caaqil,
cudurdaarna aan lahayn sida safar, xanuun, waayeelnimo xeel
dheer, iyo dhiigagga xaydka ma dhiigga dhalmada".
Kuwa Allah rumeeyayow waxaa la idinku farad yeelay soon sida
loogu faradyeelay kuwii idinka horreeyay waxaad mudantihiin
inaad Allah ka baqdaan" aayadda 183 Suratul Baqara.
Waa maxay Arkaanta ama tiirarka soonka?
1. Niyyo uu qofku niyaysto inuu soomo. Bisha oo dhan inuu
soomayyo ayuu habeenka u horrayso niyaysan karaa qofku. Mana
bannaana in niyadda lugu dhawaaqo sida in la yiraahdo "Nawaytu
Sawma Qadin" iyo wixii la mid ah.
2. In laga joogsado waxyaaba buriya soonka
3. In Soonku qabsoomo maalinta laga billaabo Fajarka labaad
ilaa qorraxdu dhacdo; saas darteed habeen soon ma jiro.
Maxaa soonka buriya?
1. Cunno iyo cabbid noocay doonaan ha ahaadeene oo loo cuno
ama loo cabbo si ula kac ah. Waxaa cunnada la mid ah
faleebooyinka ama IV-ga jirka qaboojiya ama waraabiya. Sidoo
kale cirbadaha wax nafaqeeya iwm.
2. Galmada labada qof issu galmoodaan ayagoo og inay
soomanyihiin ama midkood soomaynayahay. Waliba kafaaro ayaa
ka waajibayso. Hadday illowsanyihiin soonkoodu ma buraayo.
3. Is matajin si ula kac ah: laakiin hadduu mataggu kusoo
dhaafo ood celin waydo soonku ma buraayo.
4. Dhiigga caadada/xaydka ama midka dhalmada oo ku dhaca
haweenka: Wax danbi ah kuma laha gabadha dhiiggaasi ku dhoco
laakiin waxaa laga rabaa inay maalma kale soo qallayso.
Waa kuwee dadka loo ogalyahay inay afuraan?
1. Qofka xanuunsan wuuuna soo qallaynayaa markuu baskoodo.
2. Qofka musaafirka ah; asna waa sidoo kale wuu soo
qallaynayaa maalmaha safarka ku dhaafay.
3. Haweeneyda xaydka ama dhiig dhalamada ku dhacay way soo
qallaynaysaa maalmaha dhaafay.
4. Qofka xanuunsan oon la filaynin inuu ka caafimaado sida
qofka sokorta, cancerka, dhiig karka, iwm qaba wuu afurayaa
wuxuuna bixinayaa fidyo qallana lagama rabo.
5. Qofka waayeelka ah een soonka xammili karin da' daraadeed:
Asaguna wuu afurayaa fidyona wuu bixinayaa, wax qalla ah
ahna lagama rabo.
6. Haweeneyda uurka leh ama naaska nuujinayso ayaduna way
afuraysaa waxayna bixinaysaa fidyo oo wax qalla ah lagama
rabo sida saxda ah.
Waa maxay fidyadu intayse la egtahay?
Fidyo waaa cunno la siiyo masaakiinta oo lugu qiyaasay 2kg
oo raashiin ah iyo wixii lugu cuni lahaa ama qof miskiin ah
oo la dharjiyo hal waqti maalin kasta oo soon ku dhaafay waa
haddii aad ku jirto dadka fidyada bixinaya.
Walaayaal qodobka u danbeeya oo Ramadaanka ay tahay in loogu
diyaar garoobo waa in la samaysto jadwal ama schedule camali
ah oo qofku qorshaysto ama dajisto xilligii uu cibaadaysan
lahaa hadday taraawiix tahay ama hadday quraan akhris tahay
ama hadday cibaado kale tahayba.
Sidoo kale waxaa aad muhiim ah in bishan Quran-ka la laazimo
oo nafta la dul dhigo.Rasuulka waxaa u imaan jiray bisha
Ramadan Malakul Jibril oo la subcin jiray. Saxaabada iyo
salafkii umadda waxa la sheegaa inay Quranka usoo jeesin
jireen bishan Ramadan. Waxaa la wariyaa qaarkood inay
Quranka 7 maalmood ku dhamayn jireen, qaarna 3 maalmood.
Waxaa ayana muhiim ah in sadaqada lugu dadaalo oo meelaha
khayrka ah lugu baxsho, Rasuulku wuxuu ahaa qofka dadka ugu
deeqsisan, wuxuuna ugu deeqsisanaa Bisha Ramadan markuu
jibril la subcinayo oo dabaysha roobka wadda wuu ka
deeqsisanaa.
Ugu danbayntii waxaan walaalaha ku wargilinaynaa
In bisha Ramadaan ay ku aadantahay Jimacada ama Sabtida.
Sida saxda ah ee culumada muslimiintu u badantahay waa in
lugu soomaa aragtida muslimiinta meel kastaba ha joogaane.
Ogaysiis-yada ku saabsa Bisha Ramadan:
Waxaan ku soomi doonnaa arigtida caalamka Islaamka Insha
Allah.
Lsoo xiriir telephone-ka Masjidka 617-522-1881 si aad u
ogaatto inay barri soon tahay iyo in kale.
Masjidka waxaa lugu samayn doonaa afur insha Allah.
Salaadda cishaha waxaa la gali doonaa 9:30
Taraawiixda waxaa la billaabi dooonaa 9:50
Waxaan filaynaa inaan ka baxno ugu danbayn 10:40
Waxaan Allah waydiisanaynaa inuu camalka wanaagsan na
waafajiyo nagana aqbalo. Aamiin
